Things are continuing to grow here at Y2 LTD. We would like to keep you up to date with our recent telephony developments with some useful user tips.
100th Telephone System Install
We recently completed our 100th Telephone System Installation. Whilst I would like to report that they have all gone smoothly this is not always the case almost always because of line installation issues.
Two things to look out for if you are planning a new system are
BT (Openreach) lead times on new circuits. Although short lead times are often quoted, they are rarely delivered. We would recommend at least three working weeks are allowed from the date of receipt of order, in reality allow one month.
Install times. These are given as either AM or PM. Often Openreach gets confused and mixes up these two times. Allow all day for the install and line number changes or moves.
Inter-Tel
Y2 are pleased to announce that Inter-Tel have approved us as an authorised reseller. This is on the back of a large call centre order, specified, implemented and supported by us. The system has over 100 users and complies with the very latest Ofcom regulations for outbound call centres.
Next month we will bring you up to date on our IT developments. If you do not wish to receive any further emails, just let us know by replying to this email with STOP in the subject line. If you would like somebody else to be kept up to date, please let us have their address.
Telephone System Maintenance
We would absolutely recommend that all customers take a support contract which includes maintenance on your system (both Y2 and other suppliers). A fair number of customers point out that they have not had a problem in years, which is great. However, when a problem does occur how long would it take to seriously affect your business?
A good contract will cover your business for a specific response, parts and labour. Contracts start with us from £195 + VAT for a whole year. Why not let us quote for your system today?
Without maintenance, your system can still be repaired on a time and materials basis with the main disadvantage being a 2 -3 day lead time for an engineer to be available as opposed to same day or next day guaranteed support and a bill often above £250 per incident.
